The Church of Peace
congregation includes a full, intergenerational mix of people. Families
find at the Church of Peace a strong program of Christian education and
a supportive community. The church becomes your extended family.
The Sunday School
program is the mainstay of the educational ministry. During the
education hour on Sunday mornings (9–10 a.m.), classes are held for
preschool and elementary school children, youth, and adults. Children
study a Bible-centered curriculum through 6th grade. Junior and Senior
High Youth study current issues and reflect on the Bible’s messages.
7th and 8th graders are also welcome to attend Confirmation Class on
Wednesday nights from 7-8 p.m. in preparation of becoming a member of
the Church of Peace. Adult member sessions are held at other times.
Adult Sunday School
classes are also offered every Sunday morning from 9-10 a.m. with a
variety of topics from Bible study to current issues to theological
questions that provide learning and fellowship opportunities.
In the summer, all
ages meet together for a more informal Sunday School and an opportunity
to learn from each other.
